# Why Are Pages in Google Search Console Marked “Discovered – Currently Not Indexed” for Weeks?

Some pages on my site have been listed as “Discovered – currently not indexed” for several weeks. They’re included in the sitemap, and Google seems to know the URLs exist, but they still don’t appear in search.

What usually keeps a discovered page from being crawled? I’m especially curious whether this status points more toward crawl capacity, weak internal links, or something about the page itself—and how to tell which explanation fits.
