# Should I Put the Main Keyword in Every H2 of a Blog Post?

I’m revising a set of blog posts and keep seeing advice to use the target keyword in headings. Does that mean it should appear in every H2, or is that likely to make the article sound repetitive?

I’d rather write headings that help readers scan the page than force the same phrase into each one. How do you decide when a keyword belongs in a heading, and when a more natural description is better?
