# What Does “Umpire’s Call” Mean in Cricket DRS Reviews?

I understand that ball-tracking can show where a delivery would have hit the stumps, but I’m still unclear about the “umpire’s call” result in a [Decision Review System](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/33266/how-does-the-decision-review-system-drs-in-cricket-work) (DRS) review.

Why can a decision stay with the on-field umpire when the projected impact or wicket zone looks close to the line? I’d like to understand what the rule is trying to account for, and whether the same principle applies to both LBW reviews and other DRS decisions.
