# Why Does My LinkedIn Post Lose Its Formatting When I Paste from Google Docs?

I draft posts in Google Docs because it is easier to edit there, but when I paste into LinkedIn, some line breaks disappear and lists or bold text can look different. The result is often harder to read than the draft.

Is this mainly a limitation of LinkedIn’s post editor, or can browser settings and the way text is copied affect what gets preserved? I’m curious which parts of a formatted draft people have found reliable to carry over, especially links and paragraph spacing.
