# Why Are New Pages in Google Search Console Marked “Crawled – Currently Not Indexed”?

I’ve published several original pages on a small site, and [Google Search Console](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/302147/why-is-google-search-console-very-important-for-our-website-seo) says they were crawled but are currently not indexed. The pages aren’t blocked by robots.txt, and I can open them normally, so I’m unsure what the status is telling me.

Does this usually point to a quality or duplication concern, or can a [new site](https://www.mindstick.com/news/3249/nasa-launches-new-site-beta) simply need more time before its pages appear in search? I’d like to understand what to check before requesting indexing again.
