# Should I Update an Old Blog Post or Create a Separate Page?

I have an older article that still gets some search traffic, but parts of it no longer match what people are looking for. A newer angle would need different examples and a slightly different target query.

How do you decide between **updating an old blog post** and publishing a separate page? I’m especially interested in what to do when the topics overlap enough that both pages might compete, but not so much that combining them feels natural.
