# How Did India Become Such a Dominant Force in Olympic Field Hockey?

India’s long run of Olympic field hockey titles is often described as an era of dominance, but I’m curious about what made it possible. Was the main advantage technical skill and playing style, the structure of domestic hockey, or the way the team was selected and prepared?
