# How Well Do Claude Project Instructions Hold Up in Long Chats?

I’m using Claude for a project that involves several long conversations, and I’ve added background material and instructions to the Project. The setup works at first, but I’m not sure how reliably Claude carries those details into later chats, especially when the project grows.

For people using Claude Projects regularly, what tends to stay consistent and what needs to be repeated? I’m particularly interested in whether you organize reference files or instructions in a certain way to keep the responses on track.
