# Why Do Facebook Ads and GA4 Report Different Conversion Numbers?

My Facebook campaign dashboard shows more purchases than I can find in GA4 for the same dates. I know the two platforms may count conversions differently, but the gap is large enough that I’m unsure which number to use when judging the campaign.

How do you usually investigate a mismatch like this? I’m especially curious about the effects of attribution windows, consent settings, and duplicate purchase events. What should I check first when comparing **Ads Manager conversion reporting** with GA4?
