# Why Are My Reddit Posts Being Removed Even When They Follow the Subreddit Rules?

I’ve had a few posts removed by AutoModerator in subreddits where I’ve read the rules and believe my posts fit. The removal messages are sometimes vague, and the same kind of post seems to stay up when someone else shares it.

What are the usual causes—account age, karma thresholds, link filters, or wording that triggers a rule? Is there a good way to ask moderators for clarification without making things worse?
