# Why do AI chatbots disagree about the division of powers between India’s Centre and states?

When I ask different AI assistants which level of government is responsible for a policy area, I sometimes get answers that don’t line up. The Centre and states share responsibilities in some areas, and the practical picture can be more complicated than a one-line explanation.

Why might GPT, Gemini, and Claude interpret the Centre and state powers differently? Is the disagreement usually about how they read constitutional provisions, the sources they rely on, or how they handle exceptions and real-world practice?
