# Can AI help voters check whether election promises have made it into government budgets?

Could an AI assistant help connect a specific promise to Union or state budget documents, or would it tend to mistake a related announcement for actual funding?

I’m interested in practical ways to track these claims over time, especially when the wording changes between a manifesto, a budget speech, and a department’s spending documents. Has anyone tested GPT or Gemini on this kind of comparison using Indian public records?
