# Which Claude settings control whether conversations are used to improve Anthropic’s models?

I’m trying to understand what happens to Claude conversations after they’re submitted. The answer may depend on whether someone is using a personal account, an organization’s workspace, or the API, and on the settings or terms that apply to each.

Where should users check the current data-use controls, and how clearly do they explain whether conversations can be used to improve Anthropic’s models? I’m especially interested in what administrators can manage for a team and what individual users need to review themselves.
