# Why does my Docker build fail only on the CI runner and not locally?

My `Dockerfile` builds fine on my laptop, but the same commit breaks on the CI pipeline with a cryptic cache miss or permission error. What environmental differences between local and remote runners commonly cause this, and how can I debug it without guessing?
