# How to Audit and Revoke Authorized Third-Party Applications on Reddit?

Over time, Reddit users may grant third-party tools, bots, or mobile apps permission to access their accounts. If a third-party application is compromised or no longer needed, it poses a lingering security risk.

## How to Review and Revoke Connected Apps

To inspect apps that currently have access to your account:

- Open Reddit in a web browser and go to **Preferences** or **User Settings**.
- Navigate to the **Apps** tab (or visit `https://www.reddit.com/prefs/apps`).
- Review the list of authorized apps under **Authorized Applications**.
- Click **Revoke Access** next to any application you no longer recognize or use.

### Why Regular Audits Matter

Revoking unused tokens prevents malicious actors from hijacking stale authorization scopes to read private messages, cast votes, or submit posts on your behalf.
