European foods like potatoes, maize, and tomatoes were introduced by the Americas, and they made feeding better and reduced starvation. The Europeans on the other hand brought the new wheat, rice, and livestock into the New World, changing the past culture of farming and consumption on both continents. Reckless trading in the world was instigated by colonization. Millions of Africans were taken, by slave trade, into the world of plantations. Trade networks created by European traders connected Europe and Africa, as well as the Americas and allowed the exchange of goods, labour and resources to be consistent. As the European states went to the war trying to gain land, resources, and powers, the rivalries became the precondition of the war.
