# How to clear up 'ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR' on my browser while having access to steady websites?

## Answers

### Answer by Mujahid Mughal

If you see **ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR** even on websites that normally work, try these steps:

1. Check your computer’s date and time.
2. Clear the browser cache and SSL state.
3. Update your browser.
4. Temporarily disable VPN, proxy, or antivirus HTTPS scanning.
5. Try another browser or network.
6. Restart your router.
7. Flush DNS and renew your network connection.
8. If it happens on only one website, the problem may be with that site’s SSL/TLS configuration rather than your browser.

If the error appears across multiple trusted websites, check your device, network, DNS, and security software first.
