# How to resolve 'ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED' on my browser when accessing certain websites?

If you see **ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED**, the browser is reaching the address but the connection is being refused. Try these fixes:

1. Check whether the website works on another device or network.
2. Restart your router and browser.
3. Disable VPN/proxy temporarily.
4. Clear your browser cache and DNS cache.
5. Temporarily check firewall/antivirus settings.
6. Try another DNS service, such as Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS.
7. If only one website is affected, the problem may be on the website/server side.

If the error occurs across multiple browsers and devices on the same network, checking your network or DNS configuration is a good next step.
