## Quick Fixes:

- **Toggle it Off/On:** The simplest solution. Swipe down for notifications, tap the [location](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2574/twitter-conveniently-reveals-a-location-sharing-policy-amid-elonjet-controversy)/[GPS](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/86457/let-s-understand-the-concept-of-gps-spoofing) icon to disable it for a few seconds, then re-enable. This refreshes the connection.
- **Check Location Settings:** Ensure "Location" is on in your phone's settings. Check individual app permissions too - make sure the app you're using has access to your location.
- **[Upgrade](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/167406/how-to-upgrade-your-freelance-designer-job) Apps & System:** Outdated [software](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/23272/why-software-localization-is-important-for-your-business) can cause glitches. Update your [Maps](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/135011/13-amazing-facts-about-gps-tracking-system-in-india) app and any other [navigation](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/62/different-navigation-in-asp-dot-net) apps you use. Check for system updates on your phone too.

## Deeper Dives:

- **Improve Signal:** GPS needs a clear view of the sky. Go outdoors or near a window. Avoid thick cases or signal-blocking materials.
- **Calibrate Compass:** Some phones have a built-in magnetometer, used for calibration. Find the "Compass" app and follow the on-screen calibration instructions.
- **Clear App Cache:** A corrupted app cache can mess with GPS. Go to Settings > Apps, find your Maps app, and tap "Clear Cache". Restart your phone and try again.

## Advanced Fixes:

- **Reset [Network](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/342247/choosing-the-right-business-network-solution-for-growth) Settings:** This resets Wi-Fi, [Bluetooth](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/303610/how-is-bluetooth-working), and mobile data settings. Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth. Remember to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
- **[Factory](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/304231/factory-vs-service-in-angularjs-which-one-better) Reset:** A last resort. Back up your data first! Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Factory data reset. This wipes your phone clean, so use it only if other options fail.
- **Bonus Tip:** If your GPS issue persists, contact your phone manufacturer's support team for specific [troubleshooting](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/1617/desktop-troubleshooting) steps.
