It is typically a thin, flat screen that is [connected](https://www.mindstick.com/interview/126/define-connected-and-disconnected-data-access-in-ado-dot-net) to the computer by a cable.**

Monitors have a variety of functions, including:

- **Displaying images and text generated by the computer.** This is the primary function of a monitor, and it allows us to see what the computer is doing and interact with it.

Monitors are an essential part of most computer systems. They allow us to see the output of the computer and interact with it in a meaningful way.

In addition to the functions listed above, monitors can also have other features, such as:
