- **Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)** is used in the eastern states of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The time in AEST is 10 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+10).
- **Australian Central Standard Time (ACST)** is used in the central states of South Australia, the Northern Territory, and the Australian outback. The time in ACST is 9 hours ahead of UTC+9.
