# If I forgot my Facebook password, how do I reset it?

2. Click on **Forgot Password?** below the login fields.
3. Enter your **email address** or **phone number** that you used to create your [account](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/33699/how-tech-is-disrupting-the-accounting-world).
4. If you have linked your Facebook account to another email address or phone number, you can also choose to **Try a different way** and enter that information.
5. Click on **[Search](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/301883/why-you-shouldn-t-trust-ai-search-engines)**.
6. If you entered your email address, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.
7. If you entered your phone number, you will receive a text message with a link to reset your password.

9. Enter your new password twice and click on **Reset Password**.
