The best part of being from the Hollywood industry is that you can accept the risk of taking new challenges and observe the result before showing it to the audience. The Hollywood industry is full of people who hold not dual but multiple occupations and are fulfilling their roles on such designations successfully. Nowadays, an actor is also a producer, writer, director and and businessman as well. Similar to them, a singer is also a songwriter, and a composer as well. To some extent it is extremely beneficial as it provides you a chance to learn different technical skills.

Following are some singers who are songwriters as well;

Frank Bango

Frank Bango is a singer-songwriter based in New York and has five albums to his credit, most recently Touchy / Feely (2013). A group of musicians known as The Magic Fingers back him up when playing. He and Songwriter Richy Vesecky co-write his music.

Heather Baker

Heather Baker is an American songwriter, guitarist, producer and founder of the Electronica band Antiwave. Baker is known for being a session and touring guitar player for the likes of Adam Lambert, Bonnie Mckee, Krewella, Kerli, Fake Figures (members of Atreyu) and The Iron Maidens (Powerslave Records). She currently plays with NoMBe and Bea Miller.

Wayne Ray Chavis

Wayne Ray Chavis, the fifty-two-year-old artist from South Carolina, has been creating music all his life and has been praised a lot by the people who follow his music. Wayne today has his own Youtube channel with hundreds and thousands of subscribers on it. He also has released music albums and singles which are copyrighted and are available on all the platforms

Ben Arthur

Ben Arthur is a poet and American singer-songwriter. He has released multiple full-length albums and books, with several notable acts sharing stages. Arthur is also a producer and the host of SongCraft Presents, a songwriting video series.

Bobby Barth

Bobby Barth is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. Barth is best known, as a player, for his emotional melodic style and slide work. In 1969 Barth joined Wakefield Colorado group as lead guitarist and singer.

Nickolas Ashford

Nickolas Ashford was an American R&B singer and songwriter who joined his friend, Valerie Simpson, to form the musical collaboration Ashford & Simpson. Nick Ashford and his wife Valerie Simpson formed part of the singing-songwriting team Ashford & Simpson.

Merrie Amsterburg

Merrie Amsterburg (born in Ludington, Michigan) is a singer-songwriter. Her music has influences such as folk, rock, and pop. She uses several instruments in her songs, including the guitar, the trumpet, the mandolin, the Indian banjo, the bouzouki, the harmonium, and even a 1970s Kenmore washing machine. She was the guitarist and singer for The Natives and Miss Understood.

Geoff Bartley

Geoff Bartley is an American singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist. He lives in the Boston area, where he can be found every Monday night at The Cantab Lounge in Cambridge, Massachusetts, hosting an open microphone singer-songwriter, and performing bluegrass performances and jams every Tuesday night.

Aimee Allen

Aimee Allen is an American vocalist based in Los Angeles, California. She has worked as a singer-songwriter with Rome's Sublime, Rancid's Tim Armstrong, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Linda Perry, Lee "Scratch" Perry and Jimmy Cliff.

Tiffany Lane

Tiffany Lane better known as Charli Baltimore is an American songwriter and rapper. In the movie The Long Kiss Goodnight her stage name is taken from the character of Geena Davis. Charli Baltimore began her musical career in the summer of 1995, when she met The Notorious B.I.G. aka "Biggie Smalls."

Marcus Ashley

Marcus Ashley is an American actor, rapper, songwriter, and producer who authors, chants, and performs the songs featured in the Amazon Kindle advertisements. He forms the little musical duo with Annie little, and Ashley. In the advertisements with stop-motion photography, little appears too.

Todd Wilson

Todd Wilson Agnew is a Christian contemporary musician and songwriter. Agnew and his partner, Chris Collins, wrote this album. Since then, five label albums have been released by Agnew. The 2005.

Michael Africk is an American rapper, songwriter, creator of multiplatinum records and entrepreneur in tech. He's worked on several songs with Mai Kuraki, including the Never Gon na Give You Up gold. Africk also collaborated with her on Delicious Way album
