KNEECAP PAIN

Causes and possibilities of treatment
Do you have knee pain, especially behind your knees, for example when using stairs or doing sports? This may be a change in cartilage structure, muscle structure imbalance or knee imbalance. These conditions can lead to “anterior knee pain” - so-called despite the fact that the pain appears to come from behind the knee. Especially boys, girls, and young women experience anterior knee pain. Sometimes the symptoms disappear and reappear after months or years, but in some cases they never disappear. Surgery is rarely necessary. Instead, this knee pain is usually treated with physical therapy and pain treatment. The use of orthopedic appliances or orthoses can reduce pain and ensure proper knee function.
Causes of knee pain
Knee pain can be caused by many factors because it is not always possible to determine a clear cause. For example, the deformation (sphere) may be deformed or its position may be slightly displaced up, down or laterally. These changes disrupt the processes of physiological movement.
Other causes of knee pain include wear (ie, osteoporosis), which leads to the knee (patella) moving up. The medical term for this disorder is 'patella alta' (high patella). This condition is manifested mainly by knee pain, frequent knee changes or permanent excretion of the knee joints.
Knee pain can also cause physiological changes to the back of the knee or imbalance in muscle structure caused by inadequate training or training methods or the use of poor sneakers. Other causes include accidents and injuries. In many cases, knee pain is the result of excessive participation in sports activities, which causes a higher level of stress than infected bodies that can be treated. Heavy physical activity, diseases such as rheumatism, gout and overweight are also typical causes of knee pain.
Pain in the KNEECAP area
Knee pain may be affected by those involved in jumping or sporting activities and in the field. Young women, boys and girls in adulthood (rapid muscle and bone growth), often exposed to knee pain. Symptoms occur especially when using stairs (descent can be particularly painful) or knee bent for a long time. This means that prolonged periods of sitting, squatting or lying down with bent knees can cause severe pain.
Diagnosis of anterior knee pain
The orthopedic surgeon can determine the exact cause of knee pain by analyzing the symptoms described by the patient and examining the knee area. Here, the practitioner examines not only the knee or knee joint, but also the muscles, tendons and ligaments that surround the knee joint. The orthopedic specialist also examines the patient's spine, how his legs are positioned, the shape of his feet, and the arch structure. Diagnosis may be more reliable using imaging techniques. For example, the shape and position of knee lightness can be assessed by radiological imaging, while changes in cartilage structure can be identified by magnetic resonance (MRI) systems. The orthopedic specialist can then initiate a proper treatment program based on diagnosis and precautions to accurately identify the source of the pain.
Treatment of knee pain
At the beginning of treatment it is important to protect the knee joint. Painkillers should only be used temporarily. It is good to do muscle exercises that reduce muscle strength and lead to muscle weakness. Physical therapy, medical support or orthopedic equipment can provide long-term knee support. These so-called conservative treatment methods can in most cases eliminate symptoms.
However, surgery should be followed if knee pain persists despite the use of these methods, and this pain seriously affects the quality of life of a person.
