When you hear of teen entrepreneurs or even entrepreneurs who are under 30 years of age, you will most definitely be shocked that these individuals have been able to successfully establish a startup at a young age. And the first thing you may think about when you hear about them is how bright they must be, or that they were brought up by two successful business parents which is how they became inspired to follow their footsteps at a young age.

Some of those things you may think of might be the case, but young entrepreneurs are not necessarily that exceptionally bright or were brought up by parents who were even business people. There are many stories that are going around about entrepreneurs or those who made a difference in the world who were not necessarily under 30 when they established themselves - but many of them came from bad homes, bad neighborhoods, and were even high school or college dropouts. They had it in them to make a change for the better. And that is what makes them unique.

And those may even be the situations for some young entrepreneurs as well that makes them one of a kind. But there are other factors to acknowledge when it comes to what makes the young entrepreneur so unique. Let's go over them now.

● The ability to handle adversity from past experience - Many young entrepreneurs had challenging starts to their lives and as a result, they became resilient quite fast. Starting a business was important to them for any reason they had, and it is a very known fact that challenges and obstacles will always present itself to a new entrepreneur regardless of age. However, with these young entrepreneurs who had been able to challenge those obstacles head-on, they never let it stop them from persevering because they knew exactly how to handle adversity based on their experiences from the past.

• Passion - It is a known fact that the best businesses are started because the business owner was passionate about it. The same applies to the teen or 20-something entrepreneur. And if the passion is so strong, then they will not allow anything to stop them from allowing it to burn out. ● Self-awareness - Most teens and 20-something individuals are really not self-aware because many of them never had a reason to be. And self-awareness often comes from facing adversity. And since it was already mentioned that many of these young entrepreneurs have been through rough experiences since the start of their lives, they quickly became self-aware. And when you are self-aware, you know exactly what you want as well as you know what you do not want. With that type of self-awareness, they found their passion and ran with it. However, that does not apply to everyone who had a rough start to life. Some, unfortunately, have the opposite happen where they lose self-confidence and don't even look within and let trauma or devastation take over their lives. It all really boils down to personality.

• A bold personality - As it was just mentioned, personality makes a huge difference in whether or not a young entrepreneur is made. Because if they have passion, an exceptional ability to fight obstacles and challenges, and are very self-aware, that in itself is a huge component of what a young entrepreneur is made of.

To quickly sum up, these individuals are not necessarily gifted in intelligence or were born to successful parents. It boils down to personality, confidence, knowing what they want and need, and the passion to go after it.
