Does RAM speed matter for AMD Ryzen processors?

It certainly does. In testing, RAM running at 2133Mhz was about 6% slower than RAM running at 3200Mhz, which is the native speed of most Ryzen 5000 processors. The ideal frequency would be 3600Mhz, as this will maximise performance.
Because Ryzen processors have historically been more sensitive to RAM speed than Intel Core counterparts, we anticipate even greater performance gains from high frequency RAM on our AMD test bed. As with part one, the primary focus here is on in-game frame rates, with three CPU-intensive games tested.
