- FaceTime, the iPad's video conferencing app, is the most convenient way to make phone conversations with your iPad. When you use FaceTime to make a call, it connects to anyone who also has an Apple ID by utilising your Apple ID. An Apple ID is required for everyone who owns an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Mac computer.
- Even if you're calling overseas, these calls are free, and you won't be using any of your minutes if you haven't added your device yet—which permits it to use Wi-Fi Calling—do so now.
- Launch FaceTime.
- Select Audio.
- Tap the phone icon to enter a contact or phone number.
- You may also dial a phone number in Contacts, Mail, Messages, Safari, and other apps by pressing it.
