• Many users would prefer to see timestamps on text messages all of the time, but this isn't possible with the Apple Messages app. Instead, you'll need to know how to use a specific swipe gesture to view an iMessage timestamp for each message in a text thread.
• Open the Messages app on your phone.
• Select the message thread you're interested in.
• A date stamp will be used to separate texts from different days, as well as the timestamp for each day's first message.
• Tap and drag the message screen to the left to reveal text message timestamps.
• You'll now be able to observe when each text in the thread was received.
• The iPhone message timestamps will be hidden as you let go.
