  • If you haven't used your screen in a long, it will go to sleep to save battery life. You can change how long your phone should sleep before it goes to sleep.
  • Go to Settings > Display to get started. A Screen timeout or Sleep setting can be found in this menu. You can modify the time it takes your phone to go to sleep by tapping here. More screen timeout options are available on some phones.
  • Your Android phone may stay dark and silent while you sleep with Bedtime mode, formerly known as Wind Down under the Digital Wellbeing settings. When you turn on Bedtime mode, it uses Do Not Disturb to block out calls, texts, and other notifications that might wake you up.
  • Press the power button again to turn on the screen and switch off sleep mode. When the tablet device hasn't been used for a certain length of time, you can set the time until the screen goes to sleep automatically.
