  • Word allows you to insert sound files into your document if you're the sort who wants to make your documents more multimedia-friendly. This is accomplished in the following way:
  • Set the insertion point to the location where you wish the sound to be played.
  • Select Object from the Insert menu. The Object dialogue box appears in Word.
  • Select the Create from File option.
  • Use the dialogue box's controls to find a sound file that you want to add with your project.
  • Click the OK button. In your document, an icon that looks like a speaker is added.
  • By double-clicking on the speaker icon, you can listen to your sound file afterwards.
