Steps to unlock restrick editing in ms-word:
- The Restrict Editing task pane shows options for going to the document's regions where you have authorization to alter them.
- To remove all forms of security from a document, you may need to know the document's password. Alternatively, you may need to be listed as the document's authenticated owner.
- If you have the password for removing document protection and are an authenticated owner of the document, perform the following:
- Click Restrict Editing in the Protect group on the Review tab.
- On the Review tab, there is a Restrict Editing icon.
- Click Stop Protection in the Restrict Editing task box.
- If you're asked for a password, type it in.
