  • The content will automatically flow from one column to the next if you create a document with columns (like some newsletter layouts do). For further control over the document format, you can enter your own column breaks.
  • Put your cursor where you'd like the column to end.
  • Breaks may be found under Layout > Breaks.
  • Click Page Layout > Breaks in Word 2013 or Word 2010.
  • There will be a menu with options presented. Then select Column.
  • There is a column break. To see it, go to Home > Show/Hide Paragraph Mark.
