- In the top right corner of your LinkedIn profile, click the down arrow next to the 'Me' button. From the drop-down box, select 'Settings and Privacy.' You'll be redirected to LinkedIn's settings page.
- You'll find two options under the 'Visibility' tab: 'visibility of your profile and network' and 'visibility of your LinkedIn activity.'
- To update your LinkedIn profile without telling contacts, you'll need to adjust the 'visibility of your LinkedIn activity' settings.
- Select 'visibility of your LinkedIn activity' from the drop-down menu. Then select 'Share profile updates with your network' from the drop-down menu. To reduce the volume, use the toggle button. Your profile updates will no longer alert your connections now that you've removed the service.
