- You must authenticate your identity with Twitter in order to be verified, in order to build and preserve trust amongst users on the network. You will be asked to choose one of the three methods of certifying your identity, depending on the category:
- Official website: Include a link to your (or your organization's) official website as well as your Twitter account. Individuals must be verified on Twitter by the organisation that runs the website.
- Provide a photo of a valid official government-issued identification document, such as your driver's licence or passport, for identification verification. Individuals, not companies, brands, or organisations, are subject to this requirement.
- Provide an official email account with a domain that is related to the notability category you select. Individuals must verify the organisation with which the domain is associated on Twitter.
