  • Select View profile from Chats by right clicking or tapping and holding on your contact.
  • Alternatively, you can see your contact's profile by clicking or tapping on the conversation header from within the chat.
  • To enable the Translated Conversation, click or touch Send translation request.
  • Your contact will receive a notification that you want to activate Translated Conversations. To move further, they must select Accept.
  • Your contact will not receive the invitation if they are not using the most recent version of Skype.
  • Your instant messages and phone conversations will be translated into the language of your choice after your invitation is accepted.
  • Note: Skype's Spoken language will be set to your Device language by default, however you can change it at any moment in Settings.
  • Skype will display the messages as they are translated during your Translated Conversation, but you can also choose to show the original message.
  • In your discussions with that person, your Translated Conversation will remain available. You'll need to allow Translated Conversations in that person's profile as well if you want to start a new Translated Conversation with them.
