- You don't have to stop taking selfies after you switch from your phone to your computer to make video chats. You may arrange Skype for Windows desktop to take a photo of your active video call with the click of a button using hotkeys.
- A hotkey is a keyboard shortcut set up by the user to provide quick access to any application. You can take screenshots during a video call by setting up your own hotkey, much as in Skype. Here's how to do it:
- Click Tools > Options from the Skype menu bar. Select Advanced, then Hotkeys from the Options menu.
- Enable keyboard shortcuts by clicking the checkbox.
- Select During video calls, take a picture.
- A window will appear, and you can then type in the key combination you want to use as your hotkey. Shift, Ctrl, and Alt are the three alternatives available. Type the character you want to be your hotkey in the blank area just to the right of the three selections. For example, hold down Ctrl and type S.
- When you click OK, video captures are stored to your computer automatically.
