- Goa's Chief Minister has established an exclusive WhatsApp helpline number to assist women in distress across the state.
- At the State Police Control Room in Panaji, the dedicated WhatsApp number 7875756177 will be operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shripad Naik, Union Minister of State for Defence and AYUSH, presented the Chief Minister with a medically equipped ambulance for use by the Goa Police.
- The goal of the women's helpline is to give protection and comfort to women at all times and to achieve zero crime against women in the state.
- In another tweet, he stated, 'Women in trouble will be able to send WhatsApp messages and images/videos to this number.'
