The most frustrating thing about using Microsoft Word:
- When you type a Web page address into Word, it creates a hyperlink. Select the AutoFormat As You Type option from Tools | AutoCorrect Options. Deselect the Internet And Network Paths With Hyperlinks check box under Replace As You Type and click OK.
- As you type, Word changes the capitalization of the text. This behavior might be triggered by a variety of factors. Select the AutoCorrect tab from Tools | AutoCorrect Options. You can deselect the checkboxes that govern the undesirable activities here: Two initial capitals are incorrect. The first letter of each sentence should be capitalized. - Your ordinal numbers, such as 1st and 2nd, are superscripted in Word. Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab under Tools | AutoCorrect Options. Click OK after deselecting the Ordinals (1st) With the Superscript check box.
- Fractions are converted to formatted forms in Word. Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab under Tools | AutoCorrect Options. Select the Fractions (1/2) With the Fraction Character option and then deselect it.
