Steps to Fix the Issue:

• Repairing the File -Go to the Microsoft Office Button and select Open from the drop-down menu. When a dialogue box appears, select your Word document. Select the arrow by first clicking the Open button, then clicking Open and Repair. After that, verify that the document has been repaired.
• Or go to the Control Panel > Programs & Features.
• In the list of installed applications, select Microsoft Office.
• Click 'Change' at the top of the page, then 'Repair' in the subsequent box.
• Select the online repair option.
