The Safari app on  iPhone can start working in following ways:

  • Your iPhone should be updated. Apple publishes updates on a regular basis to repair faults and add new features. Because Safari is a native iOS program, the only way to update it is to upgrade your iPhone. Open Settings and select General -> Software Update from the drop-down menu.
  • If an iOS update is available, tap Download and Install. Open Safari after the update is complete to test if it works properly.
  • Safari's History and Website Data Must Be Deleted Unless you're using an Incognito browser, your iPhone saves website data every time you visit a webpage in Safari. Cached webpages can prevent websites from loading in some cases, and a big volume of saved website data can cause Safari to slow down over time.
  • Open Settings and tap Safari to erase Safari History and Website Data. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Clear History and Website Data. Finally, confirm your selection by tapping Clear History and Data. To see if Safari is operating again after cleaning its history and website data, reopen it.
