Looking for 'online' text at the top of the app is one of the easiest ways to tell if you've joined a Telegram channel or group. You've joined a group if you can see the number of online participants at any moment. To identify a Telegram channel, check for the eye icon next to the messages.

• Click the magnifying glass-shaped search icon in the top right corner of the app.
• Use a keyword to find what you're looking for, and a list of channels with the bullhorn emblem next to them will emerge.
• Select the desired channel by tapping on it.
