Sending a message with Telegram is as simple as selecting a contact and starting to type.
- Start a one-on-one Telegram conversation.
- Select a contact and start writing by clicking the new message button (the pencil).
All connections between your device and Telegram's servers, and subsequently between Telegram's servers and your contact, are encrypted by default, however, Telegram will be able to access your discussions.
Begin a Telegram group discussion.
You can also start a new group conversation by choosing multiple contacts from your contact list and clicking New Group. Although groups can have up to 20,000 members, they cannot be encrypted end-to-end. Telegram can read everything stated in a group chat.
