  •  Use testing software such as Litmus or Email on Acid to test your emails across many Outlook versions before sending.
  •  Outlook Settings - Change your Outlook settings to prevent Microsoft Word from being used in your emails.
  • Navigate to the Tools menu, then to the Options item, and then to the Mail Format tab. Make sure that both of the Microsoft Word checkboxes are unticked. Instead, Outlook will be able to use its own faster and lighter editor.
  •  Padding and Margin Attributes Have Spotty Support — If you're having difficulties getting an image to sit in the appropriate spot, we recommend setting things out in a table.
  •  Image Borders - Word does not support the HTML code for image borders. Consider making the border part of the image.
  •  Animated GIFs - Only the first frame of an animated GIF will be displayed in the inbox.
  • Content Gaps in Emails– The Word engine generates long emails in the same way that a multi-page Word document is rendered. In unusually long content, this can result in a 'page break' roughly 1800 pixels down the page.
