How do I fix a built-in microphone on Windows 10?

Make sure the microphone is not turned off and is set to default.
  1. Select the Windows icon from the list.
  2. Make a selection of options.
  3. Choose a system.
  4. Make a sound selection. Select Device characteristics from the Input menu.
  5. Check that the Disable option isn't selected. Check the sound with the Test button.
Use the Troubleshoot option to find a solution.
