My Android phone won't charge while the power is on. What might be the cause of this?

There are various reasons why your device may not charge, and the majority of them may be resolved without the need for additional assistance. The following are the most prevalent reasons for a device's failure to charge:

  • third-party programs interrupting the charging process
  •  defective cable, charger, socket, or adapter
  • dirt or debris in the charging port a software update is required

If there's still power left in your phone, attempt asoft reset. This will allow the device to clear its temporary memory, allowing you to identify whether the issue is software-related. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys together until the device restarts.
