Steps to fix:

  • Using the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, navigate to the Recovery mode option on the screen. Your device will reboot into recovery mode if you press the Power button. Hold the Power button and press the Volume Up button at the same time. With the Volume Up and Volume Down keys, select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, then hit Power.
  • If there is a display issue, try restarting the device. For 10 seconds, hold down the 'Sleep/Wake' button. When the 'Power Off' slider displays, slide the button to turn the device off, then turn it back on after around 30 seconds. Reset the device if nothing happens.
  • If the phone is still on, turn it off.
  •  Blot the visible water using tissue paper
  • Use a mild hairdryer (but not too much)
  • Place the wet phone in a rice bowl and left it there for a day or two.
  • Take the phone out of your pocket and try to turn it on.
