  • Examine the charging port for any signs of corrosion or water damage.
  • Check the charging port for lint and bent or broken pins.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 5-10 seconds if the gadget will not turn on.
  • If the device turns on but doesn't hold a charge, power cycle it, then fully charge it before re-testing.
  • To avoid longer charging periods or other charging difficulties, use a manufacturer-approved wall plug and USB charging cable.
  • If a different manufacturer-approved charger is available, try to turn on the device.
  • If the item still won't turn on, use a manufacturer-approved USB cable plugged into a computer to trickle charge it. Using this trickle-charge method, gadgets that are fully dead can often be recharged in 45 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Finish charging the device by inserting it into a wall outlet once it has recovered.
  • Press and hold the Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down buttons for 1-2 minutes while attached to the wall charger.
  • When hitting the Power button alone fails to turn on the gadget, this procedure may assist.
