Check to see whether your phone is not in flight mode, if your network provider can be located manually under Network Settings, and if your sim card works on phones other than yours. If your mobile modem works on other phones but not on yours, and your phone isn't in flight mode, it's a problem with your modem.
The Android 'no service' issue can be caused by a variety of factors. The radio signal, Airplane mode, poor reception, or issues with your wireless carrier, SIM card issues, software faults, and other factors can cause it to appear.
