The Right to Information Act 2005 gives the provision to avail any Information from any public authority body but the purpose should be the public interest.
India is a democratic country that includes the soul of the nation in its constitution that was constituted by the constituent assembly in 1949. The country which has the widest constitution also has its roots as wide as it is boundless.

The Right of Information (RTI) also was included in theFundamental Rights of people in article 19 (1) (A) and also in article 21 of the Indian constitution has the soul of the RTI. The process of RTI is well detailed on its Government Website as given below. Any person being a citizen of India can avail the right to access any information subjecting to the public interest.

After getting the information with the help of the RTI portal one should also promote the Right of every citizen of India as many more still do not have any idea about how to avail themselves of the right to information.


Fee for applying RTI

Along with the application, the applicant is requested to attach a demand draft or a banker’s cheque, or an Indian Postal order of 10 Rupees.
Also, the fee of that application can be submitted in cash directly to the accounts officer of the public authority.

RTI only for Indian Citizen

As per the advisory report by the government of India, it is mentioned that the person which is seeking any information from the public authority should be a citizen of India.
While filling the application the citizen of India should have any Identity proof that witnessing you as the citizen of India.

The requirement of an Aadhar card as a specific document is not necessary for the filing of an RTI application.
Any Identity proof is valid in the filling.
