- Keeping your programme up to date will allow you to benefit from bug fixes and new features, allowing you to get the most out of it. However, if you truly want to avoid the updates, go to the Play Store and disable auto updates.
- Open the Google Play Store. It can be found in the app menu or on the home screen.
- Activate with a tap. It's to the left of 'Google Play'in the upper left corner.
- Go to My Apps & Games and select My Apps & Games.
- Scroll down to WhatsApp Messenger and press it.
- It's in the screen's top right corner. Select Auto-update from the drop-down menu.
- The check mark will be removed. WhatsApp's automatic updates have been deactivated. Unless you explicitly update the app, Android will not update it.
